Well, its been a very settled time here in Ward 27a. Joshua had his cells back yesterday afternoon, has his last lot for this cycle today and then will come off the antibiotics. Then, well, if it goes ok, we get to GO HOME! sometime over the weekend
and when I say HOME I mean my lovely hundred year old SMELLY home in Rotorua! I cant quite beleive it, it seemed even 48 hours ago, that we would be locked in here till the end of treatment. But other than the high temperature, Joshua has coped with this round
really well. He hasnt had the vommitting (except when his temperature was through the roof). He hasnt had the tummy pain, has barely complained of pain at all!
So we are very excited at the prospect, Joshua will be nutripenic at home and we are certain
to need time in Hospital down in Rotorua with a Temperature, but Daniel will get to go to school, and life can continue.
Susanne our Au pair has left us to go to a family in Hamilton, this was a huge releif for us as she didnt gel with our kids. So
for now its just Mike and the kids and I and well reassess our need for an aupair down the line, but right now I just want to try without one.
We had a lovely morning, I took the kids to the Domain to the Child cancer Foundation, Easter Hunt, Georgia
and Daniel had a blast, it was so much fun!
Well heres hoping the next 24 hours are just as fabulous!
